or drop files here (files are processed locally, never uploaded)

Each comma-separated range becomes one file. 8- means page 8 to the end.

Choose a PDF, enter a page range and tap Split PDF.

How to split a PDF

  1. Choose a PDF file. Its page count is shown right away.
  2. Pick a split mode and enter a page range such as 1-3, 5, 8-. You will see how many files will be created.
  3. Tap Split PDF. A single file downloads straight away; if there are several, download them one by one or all at once as a ZIP.

Common uses

  • Pull the signature page out of a contract: choose “Extract into one PDF” and enter its page number.
  • Turn a scanned document into single pages: choose “One PDF per page” and leave the range empty.

FAQ

How do I write page ranges?

Separate them with commas, e.g. 1-3, 5, 8-. "8-" means page 8 to the last page and "-3" means the first three pages.

What is the difference between the three modes?

"One PDF per range" turns 1-3, 5 into two files. "One PDF per page" saves every page separately (leave the range empty for all pages). "Extract into one PDF" puts the pages you list, in that order, into a single new file.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Splitting happens in your browser and the file never leaves your device.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, without recompression. When several files are created you can download them all as a ZIP.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Remove the password first with Unlock PDF, then split it.

Can I split a PDF on my phone?

Yes. The tool runs in your phone's browser and there is nothing to install. Each PDF can be up to 200 MB. A phone has less memory than a computer, so a very large file, or splitting one into hundreds of separate PDFs, may fail there.
