How to convert a PDF to images

  1. Choose a PDF file. Its page count is shown right away.
  2. Pick an image format (PNG or JPG) and a resolution. Enter a page range if you only need some pages.
  3. Tap Convert to images. Download a single image directly, or several one by one or as a ZIP.

Tips

  • On a phone you can also long-press the preview image to save it to your photos.
  • For sharing documents in chat apps, JPG at 2x is usually sharp enough.

FAQ

Should I choose PNG or JPG?

PNG is best for pages with text, tables or charts: edges stay crisp with no artifacts. Choose JPG for photo-heavy pages or when you want smaller files.

Which resolution should I use?

1x (72 DPI) is for quick on-screen previews, 2x (144 DPI, default) for viewing and sharing on phones and computers, and 3x (216 DPI) for zooming in or printing. Higher resolutions produce larger files.

Can I convert only some pages?

Yes. Enter a page range such as 1-3, 5, 8-. Leave it empty to convert every page. Up to 500 pages can be converted at once.

Will Chinese, Japanese or Korean text show up as boxes?

No. Standard PDF character maps are built in, so CJK text renders correctly. PDFs without embedded fonts are drawn with your device fonts, so glyph shapes may differ slightly from the original.

Is my file uploaded?

No. Conversion happens in your browser; neither the PDF nor the images ever leave your device.

Can I convert a PDF to images on my phone?

Yes, in your phone's browser, with no app to install. PDFs up to 200 MB and up to 500 pages per run are supported. Rendering needs memory in proportion to the resolution, so on a phone it is safer to stay at 1x or 2x and convert a page range instead of a long document in one go.
